Wellabe has received a bronze level Aetna Workplace Well-being Award for Inspiring Change. The Aetna Workplace Well-being Award evaluates Wellabe’s well-being initiatives, including:

  • Lifestyle savings account
  • Increased participation in Des Moines Corporate Games
  • Enhancements to the onsite gym in the Des Moines headquarters, including the ping pong table
  • Annual physical exam incentive 
  • Onsite flu shot clinics
  • Increased offerings for in-office chair massages
  • Fresh fruit delivery in the office
  • Employee resource groups
  • Commitment to “Make It OK” mental health initiatives
  • Company-provided giving opportunities and programs, including VTO (Volunteer Time-off) program, Rebuilding Together, Meals from the Heartland, United Way, Meals on Wheels, and more.

About the award

  • Established in 2017, the awards are available to Aetna middle market, public and labor and national account employer segments in the United States with a minimum of 100 employees. This includes fully insured and self-funded employers with an Aetna medical plan.
  • Employers complete the award application using data from their most recent 12-month program year. This includes information on their well-being strategy and design, communications and organizational engagement, workplace programs and policies, incentives and engagement, and program evaluation.
  • A peer review committee made up of well-being professionals reviewed and scored all applications based on pre-defined criteria.
