Lindsey Petersen, an Accounting Manager, says her journey in the world of numbers began long before her arrival at Wellabe two and a half years ago. In high school, she signed up for an accounting class, instantly fell in love with the subject, and never looked back.

Since then, she has been digging through data working in multiple accounting roles for a variety of public and private accounting companies.

“I’m proud of the path I chose, which was to get my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, work for a public accounting firm, and then into the private insurance industry,” she says. “I absolutely love where I’ve landed. I love what I do and who I work with.”

On a day-to-day basis, Lindsey manages the quarterly and annual Statutory Financial Reporting process, the annual Audited Financial Statement process, and reinsurance. But the one thing that she enjoys about her role is the chance to tell a story with the data. 

“I love working with data to understand the story that lies behind to detect and correct errors,” she says.

Looking ahead, Lindsey hopes Wellabe continues to develop new product avenues for continued success and growth, which would create more opportunities for her personal growth.
