Employee Spotlight: Trevor Dooley

‘The continual learning and problem-solving aspects of my job keep me engaged and motivated.’

Trevor’s journey with Wellabe started by using his degree in computer science as an intern in 2022. Fast forward one year, and Trevor joined Wellabe full time as a Cloud Engineer in TIS Business Solutions. Now, Trevor wears several hats in his role.

“I help fix and update Wellabe’s computers, package safe applications for users to download from the Company Portal, ensure that computers follow the rules to stay safe from any vulnerabilities, and set up new ways for people to work more efficiently on their laptops,” he says.

He also organizes tasks, reports, and improvements to enhance experiences for both the technicians and business users.

“One of my favorite aspects of my job is the dynamic nature of my role,” he says. “I enjoy wearing multiple hats and being involved in various aspects of our computer systems. The continual learning and problem-solving aspects of my job keep me engaged and motivated.”

In his short time at Wellabe, Trevor has experienced a lot.

“My proudest accomplishment is my first-ever real task. I oversaw rolling out a software,” he says. “It’s not a fan favorite among many, but it gave me my first taste of writing scripts (instructions to tell a computer to do something), which is something I spend most of my days doing now.”

Trevor is looking forward to developing into his career.

“I’m excited to keep learning and take certification exams that advance my career. I’m especially interested in artificial intelligence, and the constant advancements in this field,” he says.
